2012 Fall Meeting of the American Geophysical Union (AGU)
I gave two oral presentations at the 2012 AGU Fall Meeting. The first was on Monday, December 3rd and gave an overview of CoCoRAHS-Albedo. The second talk was on Wednesday December 5th and discussed my work with the Weather, Research and Forecasting (WRF) Model, in which I simulate what happens to climate when the Northeastern United States is deforested, as it was in the mid-1800's. [A special thanks to Tod Hagan at UNH for his invaluable IT and programming expertise!]

UNH Earth Sciences Brown Bag Seminar Prezi
I have been experimenting with a new online presentation software called Prezi. I presented my most recent Prezi at the UNH Earth Sciences Brown Bag Seminar, in which Earth Science graduate students, faculty, and staff come to learn more about research in the department and enjoy a nice lunch together. I designed my prezi as a timeline, with the bulk of the presentation focusing on the last 3 years of proposal development and research I've conducted as a Ph.D. student and candidate from 2009-present.
Eastern Snow Conference Powerpoint Presentation
Oral presentation given by Elizabeth Burakowski at the 69th Annual Eastern Snow Conference in Claryville, NY 5-7 June 2012. Awarded the Wiesnet Medal for Best Student Paper (manuscript in review at Hydrological Processes).
6th Annual Graduate Climate Conference Poster
I had the opportunity to share the research conducted by CoCoRAHS-Albedo at the 6th Annual Graduate Climate Conference (GCC) at the University of Washington's Pack Experimental Forest in Eatonville, WA. This was my third time attending the GCC, and most likely my final as I hope to finish my Ph.D. by August 2013. The GCC is unique in that only graduate students are invited to present and attend (with the exception of the keynote speaker). I received a lot of interest in CoCoRaHS-Albedo at the poster session and students from other states expressed interest in bringing the pilot program out west and to other snowy states. I've noted that suggestion on my list of potential post-doc proposals.
